Terms & Conditions

Location: Hendre Mynach Caravan Park, Barmouth, Gwynedd, Wales

These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between guests and Hendre Mynach Caravan & Camping Park (“we”, “us”, “the Park”). By confirming a booking and making payment (in part or full), you accept all terms outlined below.

1. Bookings & Payments

Touring & Camping Pitches

  • A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required at the time of booking.
  • Bookings under £50 must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 28 days before arrival.
  • An administration fee of £20 applies for date changes, subject to management discretion.
  • You must provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) when booking. This forms part of your booking terms.

Static Caravans & Deluxe Pods

  • A £100 non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
  • Full balance must be paid 28 days prior to arrival.
  • A £100 cash damages and cleaning deposit is payable on arrival. This will be refunded after a satisfactory inspection upon departure, assuming the accommodation is left clean and undamaged.
  • Guests must confirm their ETA at booking, which forms part of their agreement.

2. Arrival & Departure Times

  • Touring/Camping check-in: From 12:30pm onwards. Latest arrival time varies seasonally, in any case please contact the park if you plan to arrive after 8pm to discuss your late arrival options
  • Touring/Camping check-out: By 11:00am.
  • Static Caravans & Deluxe Pods check-out: By 10:30am.
  • No late departures unless pre-approved by management (fees may apply).
  • Rebooking requests must be made by 10:00am (or 9:00am during peak season).

3. Cancellation Policy

Touring & Camping

  • £50 or less: Paid in full and non-refundable.
  • Over £50:
    • 14+ days prior: £50 deposit retained, 50% refund of remaining balance.
    • 8–13 days prior: £50 deposit retained, 25% refund of remaining balance.
    • 7 days or less: No refund unless in exceptional circumstances at the manager’s discretion.

Static Caravans & Deluxe Pods

  • Deposit of £100 is non-refundable.
  • 27–21 days prior: 50% of balance refunded (after retaining deposit).
  • 20 days or less: No refund will be issued.

Please Note:
Bookings impacted by events outside our control (e.g. pandemics, extreme weather, government restrictions) will be subject to our cancellation policy. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to protect your stay.

4. Site Conduct & Safety Rules

General Park Conduct

  • The Park enforces a strict 5 MPH speed limit.
  • UK highway laws apply at all times: no drink-driving, seatbelts must be worn, and children must not travel on laps or unsecured in vehicles.
  • Driving tuition is not allowed on-site.
  • Washing of vehicles (cars, caravans, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
  • EVs must not be charged at pitches or accommodations—plan your journey accordingly.
  • Drones and kites are not permitted due to overhead power lines.
  • Firearms, BB guns, crossbows, catapults, and similar items are strictly banned.

Barbecues & Fires

  • Open log or coal fires are not permitted.
  • Barbecues are allowed only if raised off the ground and used for cooking only.
  • Any damage to grass or furniture will be chargeable.
  • Barbecue safety rules must be followed (available from reception).

Noise & Anti-social Behaviour

  • Quiet hours begin at 10:00pm. Radios, TVs, and music must be kept low at all times.
  • Anyone causing disturbances will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
  • Anti-social behaviour, including aggressive language, intoxication, or threatening conduct, will result in eviction.
  • Drug use, including possession of non-prescription substances, will be reported to police and lead to immediate eviction.

Maintenance & Safety

  • During grass cutting or hedge trimming, please be patient.
  • Please familiarise yourself with your nearest fire point.
  • CCTV operates across the park for safety and security.
  • Use designated footpaths and entry/exit points—do not climb fences.
  • No hard ball or frisbee games in areas that may disturb other guests or damage property.

5. Pets

  • Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times and exercised off-site.
  • Clean up after your pet immediately.
  • Dogs must not be left unattended at any time.
  • Dangerous breeds (as listed by UK law) must be muzzled and leashed in public. You must provide a valid certificate of exemption if required.
  • In dog-friendly units:
    • Provide your own dog beds, towels, and blankets.
    • Pets are not allowed on beds or sofas.
    • Dog washing hose available near accommodations.
    • Any pet-related damages are chargeable.
  • Hendre Mynach accepts no liability for injury to or caused by pets on-site.

6. Children

  • Parents/guardians are fully responsible for their children at all times.
  • No playing near railway lines or the stream.
  • Children under 12 must be supervised at all times, especially in communal areas (e.g. toilets, showers).
  • No use of scooters, bikes, rollerblades, or skateboards around the shop, car parks, or toilet/shower areas.

7. Facilities & Hygiene

  • Two modern shower blocks are available. If one is being cleaned, please use the other.
  • Do not wash dishes or clothes under water taps—use the dedicated washing-up and laundry facilities.
  • Hot water is provided for use in designated areas only.
  • Please use the general waste and recycling bins provided. Do not leave rubbish bags outside your unit.
  • Clotheslines must not be tied to electric hook-ups or posts. Static caravans have window-mounted dryers.

8. Accommodation-Specific Terms

Touring & Camping

  • All units must vacate by 11:00am.
  • Open fires are not allowed.
  • Follow general park rules as above.

Static Caravans

  • Check-out is by 10:30am.
  • £100 cash deposit required for cleaning/damages.
  • Units must be left in clean and tidy condition.
  • Bedding is required—bring your own or hire a pack (£20 double / £10 single).
  • No smoking or vaping indoors.
  • No subletting or exceeding agreed occupancy.
  • Pet damage will incur repair costs.

Deluxe Pods

  • Same terms apply as for static caravans, including:
    • £100 deposit
    • £100 cash cleaning/damage deposit
    • No smoking/vaping
    • Pets not allowed on furniture
    • Cleanliness expected at departure

9. Visitors

  • All visitors must report to the Park Office.
  • A £3 per car charge applies.
  • Visitors must comply with all park rules and are the responsibility of the hosting guest.

10. Liability

  • Hendre Mynach is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items.
  • We do not accept liability for injury, accident, or damage, except where caused by proven negligence on our part.
  • Please secure all valuables, and remove vehicle ignition keys when not in use.

11. Photography & Marketing

  • We may occasionally take photographs for promotional use. These may include images of guests or property.
  • Please let us know if you do not wish to appear in marketing materials.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

These Terms & Conditions are accurate at the time of publication but are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the management. Guests are advised to review the latest version prior to arrival.
